John Wardle’s architectural transformation, followed by a more recent refinement, has created a home shaped by natural light, warm timber and carefully framed garden views.

Mature greenery surrounds the home, with a heated pool at the heart of the outdoor spaces. A deep, shaded verandah and sun-dappled terrace make the garden part of everyday life, from a slow morning to an evening spent together.

Inside, a skylit entrance leads to a marble kitchen and a formal lounge with an open fireplace and French doors to the front garden. The larger family living area opens through full-height glass towards the pool, with Wardle’s timber screening drawing the architecture and landscape together.

The main bedroom suite occupies its own ground-floor wing, opening towards the courtyard garden and pool. A Murano glass chandelier and onyx detailing in the ensuite bring a distinctive sense of occasion.

Upstairs, three further bedrooms sit around a relaxed TV retreat, with ensuite bathrooms and balcony access among the spaces. It is a considered arrangement for shared time and quieter moments, with generous living areas bringing everyone back together.
